Ample in size, the Presidential Suite at The Westin Singapore speaks a language inspired by a balance of wellness and nature. Its neutral, soothing tones offer a source of respite for guests desiring a well-deserved rest.

Designed by FBEYE Studios, there is a tacit local influence that permeates throughout the 242 square metre suite. The living room comprises of a set of dark walnut armchairs, complete with a matching couch and coffee table. Topped with reflective black glass, the overall effect appears oriental in nature, complete with a green and beige hued carpet with dark topographical contours. Local touches include Peranakan-inspired lacquerware which adorn its cabinets. Equipped with Bose sound systems, the room is simple and comfortable.

Adjacent to the living room is the dining room that comfortably sits for ten. Channelling the same theme of the living area, eyes are drawn to the wall murals of a budding peach tree. Perhaps alluding to spring, the room evokes Westin’s theme of wellness and rejuvenation. The same topographical carpets are used, complete with a dark glossy tabletop that complements the room’s use of neutral warm tones.

Located at the corner of the suite with sky-high views of the harbour and the city’s outlying islands, the private study is complete with built in marble countertops and dark herringbone wood floorings. Distinctively Asian in spirit, the dark walnut woods are juxtaposed with a splash of colour with hand-painted ceramics inspired by Straits Chinese culture.

The master bedroom is plush and deluxe, equipped with all the creature comforts one might need for a good night’s rest. Covered with carpets depicting leaves, the room’s soothing accents are accentuated by beige leather headboards and a watercolour painting depicting local architecture. Pared down, the room’s comfortable nature complements the lavender balm-scented products as part of Westin Singapore’s in-house amenities. Its adjoining private gym features a unique quirk - a built-in cabinet in the form of vintage travel briefcases.

Oversized bathrooms of Presidential Suites are often regarded as the highlight, and Westin Singapore’s Presidential Suite is no different. Its freestanding Kaldewei tub and Toto washlets, set against cool beige marble tiles create a refined atmosphere for relaxation. This is complemented by unique design touches with the likes of mother-of-pearl mosaics. Westin’s White Tea - scented soaps offer lush notes of citrus, jasmine and rosewood - perfect for unwinding after a long day of work.

The Presidential Suite at the Westin Singapore offers a calm sanctuary of uncluttered colour tones of beiges and browns, whilst paying homage to the country’s locality with its Peranakan-esque finishes. A wellness sanctuary at its best.
